Arora Hair & Beauty Academy 2011 - Training For Your Future

The Arora Academy centres provide the highest standard of education in all aspects of Hair, Beauty, Skin Therapy and Makeup.  We train you so you understand all the techniques, tips and new business ideas so you can keep ahead of your competitors and so you can attract and retain clients for the long term and not the short term.  Thats why we have been in business for over 20 years - we provide quality which others can not provide. 

Courses are short term, are at an advanced level of NVQ Level 3 standards or equivilant are held in our working clinic in Leeds and in Central London and are focused on practical experience.

The Academy centres are apart of the Professional Beauty Academy which is accreditated to the Guild of Beauty Therapists and VTCT, which means you can gain insurance after you have completed the course successfully.  Each training manual has been approved by these accreditation bodies.

Location North: Leeds

Location South: Central London (Next to St Pauls) or Offsite for corporate training if required for 4 or more staff

Training Numbers: One-to-one basis \ small groups - We want to make sure all Arora Academy alumni have the best quality training available and feel it is best suited to train in small numbers.

Assessment: We make sure that you leave the course understanding what is required by national standards and so you can operate in a safe and efficient manner, aswell as efficiently so you can start working and earning from day one.

Accomodation: We have excellent on site accomodation that are cost effective

Statistics: In 2010, we trained 89 individuals and 8 corporate salon teams.  In Jan 2011 so far, we have trained 12 individuals with 20 people booked for February.

Certificate: You will receive a certificate at the end of the completed course

Insurance: You may apply to have public liability insurance from the Guild of Beauty Therapists and others.

THREADING (T01) - £120

Duration: 11 am to 4 pm (One day)

Module: After the Threading (T01) module you should:

• Understand a variety of threading techniques for the removal of hair from the face and body.
• Understand shaping and maintenance of different eyebrow shapes.
• Understand the client consultation process and a range of relevant threading questions
• Understand how to prepare and plan for the threading treatment and understand relevant basic anatomy questions about the skin
• Understand main threading techniques to remove unwanted hair effectively and safely
• Provide good quality clinical aftercare advice and recommendations to the client
• Understand basic health & safety rules when performing the treatment
• Understand basic obligations of legal rules as a treatment provider
• Have practical training

Requirements: No previous qualifications necessary.

Completion: Certificate, training pack, alumni advice line, Guild Beauty Insurance qualification

EYEBROW TINTING & ENHANCEMENT (ET01) - £100

Duration: 11 am to 4 pm (One day)

Module: After the module you should:

• Understand a variety of tinting techniques for the eyebrows and lashes, brow shaping, individual and strip lashes
• Understand colour and maintenance of different eyebrows
• Understand skin testing and patch tests
• Understand the client consultation process and a range of relevant tinting questions
• Understand how to prepare and plan for the threading treatment and understand relevant basic anatomy questions about the skin
• Provide good quality clinical aftercare advice and recommendations to the client and understand contra-indications and contra-actions
• Understand basic health & safety rules when performing the treatment
• Understand basic obligations of legal rules as a treatment provider
• Have practical training

Requirements: No previous qualifications necessary.
